What is this Prayground?
For too long, children have been shushed and kept in the back of the church - in a place that their adults can make a quick getaway if they get too squirrely. BUT... when children cannot see what is going on, they are disengaged from the church. Experience has shown that if children are not engaged in worship by ages 4-6, they will never be part of the church. That's why our Prayground is in the front of the worship space.
Contrary to popular belief, congregations with Praygrounds tend to have children that are actually more quiet during worship. Also, shushing is more distracting than their little giggles and squeals.
